frizzled

frizzled

They called her Whispering Winnie
Not the one with the Pooh~
She was the little gal
who had the hair
that went all
a skew

She skolupped
everywhere she
went and got looks
from every which way~
What’s a skolup you ask?
It’s between a skip
and hop
okay?

People would stop
and ask her
what was that
strange moving prance~
Winnie would mumble
and murmur
and give an
off putting
glance

She then would
continue on
her way
with
merriment
and charm~
Her curls
bouncing
up and down
she meant
nobody
harm

Day after day
she’d skolupped
her way
up and down
the streets~
It never failed
she’d get stopped
and asked
to explain the
movement
of her feet

Winnie would whisper
and give the glance,
which by now was
quite sizzled~
It became just
like her skolup
and hair
a little
skewed
and
frizzled.

Absolutely delightful to read. Fun and enjoyable from beginning to read. Loved it.
