We hang out together like
two old enduring chums
No two others are like us
we take what er’ may come

Are names are said in unison
not one without the other
We are attached by a heart~
You are my best friend and lover

We have wrinkles and each
have hair that turned a silvery grey
We have seen the defects, we each have,
and have had our heyday

To this kindly old pair of lovers
we do think and we must wonder~
Was it love and endurance
that kept us attached
one to another?

I am not sure we will ever
know how it all works and
just why~
I just know that it always has and
no rules ever will apply

We two have fused together
and become one
