About

This is an excerpt from one of my all time favorite songs Quicksand. It explains why I write poetry fairly well. I hate routine and change my life up pretty often. I have faith and hope…. I know at times my poems and behavior does not reflect that. I fight constant battles with in myself about good/bad issues. I struggle with love and hate/right and wrong. I always did the right thing as a young person. Now being seasoned I have many things I wished I would have done. So this is my struggle.  And this is my Poetry.

I’m torn between the light and dark
where others see their targets
Divine symmetry
Should I kiss the viper’s fang
Or herald loud
The death of Man
I’m sinking in the quicksand
Of my thought
And I ain’t got the power anymore
Don’t believe in yourself
Don’t deceive with belief
Knowledge comes
With death’s release
I’m not a prophet
Or a stone age man
Just a mortal
With the potential of a superman
I’m living on
I’m tethered to the logic
Of Homo Sapiens
I’m sinking in the quicksand
Of my thought

I’ve looked into your eyes, a living moment trapped in my mind, you were on stage for all to see… A loving memory, which holds me together. Reach for my hand if you please, together we shall continue poetry…
