Walking On Air

Sometimes it takes a while
to get to that real smile
Not the polite kind
a real one that’s
defined
We all have that fake I have to grin
When we really want to
punch their
chin
Or how about a good laugh or giggle
the kind that makes
your belly
jiggle
We all must give that cheap little chuckle
The kind that gives us a big
giant struggle
Genuine happiness some days is rare
When we have then it feels as
if we are walking
on air

I’m glad I don’t have to fake it too much since I have very little real social interaction. It makes those times when I do have to fake it so much easier. But I always smile genuinely when I read your poems and comments. 🙂
