Vision

Vision

Was a calm clear day out on the sea
The kind of day we’d long it to be

I looked out to behold the all shades of blue
Never did I see such a heavenly view

Was like some sort of enchanted fairy tale land
Wanted the blues to swallow me, it was that grand

The clouds started to shift and they filtered the light
The blues got lighter and there did appear some white

One of the clouds seem to touch down
On the shore and tuned into a gown

Ghostly like wings grew from the white like lace
They started to flutter and sway with grace

The winds were picking up and night began to fall
The vision did vanish like it wasn’t there at all

For a moment I froze not knowing what went on
Was it a mirage or a vision from beyond?

As I turned to leave this mysterious place
A chill went up my spine, made my heart race

I gave one last look at the sea now dark
Didn’t see a trace not even one spark

“Was it a mirage or vision from beyond?” I vote for vision from beyond. Love the poem. So deliciously eerie. 🙂
